Dr. Charles Gluchowski is currently the Managing Director of Life/Science Innovations LLC (LSI), a consulting firm that works on strategic and tactical fundraising, business development and R&D projects for life science companies. Dr. Gluchowski has over 30 years of executive, business development and drug R&D experience in both established and start-up life science companies. He has played an active role in the financing and development of several start-up companies including the completion of 2 successful IPOs and several M&A transactions.
Dr. Gluchowski has also been responsible for the discovery and development of 2 marketed therapeutics, is a co-inventor on over 75 issued US patents and is a co-author on over 45 peer reviewed articles and book chapters. Dr. Gluchowski has held executive and research leadership positions at the following companies: Medicure, Inc. CTI Molecular Imaging (now part of Siemens), Ceretek LLC, Questcor Pharmaceuticals (now part of Mallinckrodt), RiboGene and Synaptic Pharmaceutical Corp (now part of Lundbeck). He began his industrial career in 1984 as a Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry at Allergan where his efforts led to the development of Allergan’s glaucoma treatments Alphagan and Lumigan.
Prior to joining Allergan, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Organic Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin. He received his PhD in Organic Chemistry in 1983 from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX and a BS in Chemistry in 1978 from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ.
