Fabrice is currently the Director of Planning, Evaluation and Program Performance Management at the Clinical and Translation Science Institute (CTSI) at UCSF, which goal is to accelerate research by providing clinical research services, research data infrastructure, and pilot funding for innovative technologies . He oversees strategic planning, operational execution and program evaluation through the use of portfolio management tools, scorecard systems, financial and social ROI methodologies. He also partners with the Research Campus and the Medical Center to improve the performance of clinical research processes and clinical care delivery using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Most recently he was a Principal in operational/business excellence at Genentech where he led enterprise-wide efforts to improve the performance of technology development. Prior to that he held various positions in research, process development and manufacturing in industrial biotech. Fabrice also sits on the Board of the Zen Hospice Project in San Francisco, a unique community-based Hospice aimed at improving end-of-life care through the integration of medical, social and spiritual sciences. In his free time Fabrice is an avid scuba Dive Master and surfer. He holds a MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Technology of Compiegne, France, and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
