Health Care Reform: Understanding the Legislation and Identifying an Action Plan for Life Science Employers

In collaboration with BHRN

Among the many rules and regulations surrounding Health Care Reform, the 2014 Employer Mandate will have the largest financial impact. Do you understand the impact on your organization? Are you prepared to present changes to management and employees in a clear and effective manner?

This session will provide an overview of the legislation and how it will affect your organization, as well as the tools needed to successfully create a strategic three year planning approach to your benefits in order to maintain compliance and control cost.

We will discuss employer mandate rules and regulations and the large effect that the age-rating consolidation will have on smaller employers and their employees.

Among issues this session will also address:

  • Your responsibilities under the Employer Mandate and possible impacts to your group’s health plans, COBRA as well as Cadillac Taxes
  • Comprehensive calendar outlining all HCR dates and what you need to do by what date
  • What questions should you be asking and what should you expect from your current broker
  • How to develop a business plan specific to your organization and talking points on how to present the new legislation to your management and executive teams
  • Talking points on how to market the changes to employees
  • Additional regulation update
