Administrative Assistant, Business Development

Robert Sousa serves within the Business Development department at California Life Sciences Association (CLSA) as an Administrative Assistant and as Office Manager based in San Diego. His support safeguards the day-to-day flow of business by acting as a liaison to the South San Francisco and San Diego offices. In his role, Robert ensures that CLSA delivers the highest quality experience to its members and partners and he shares a passion for bringing people together from all walks of life in order to reach a common goal.

In the recent past, Robert has worked closely with South Pacific island communities on methods of mitigating the negative effects of Climate Change along with Tsunami Recovery on the islands of Samoa and Tokelau for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Norwegian Refugee Council. His relentless desire to help others radiates in everything he does from his professional to his personal life. Robert holds a Master of Arts Degree in International Policy Studies from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) in Monterey, California.
