Securing a partner is only the beginning—you then have to put substantial effort and resources into keeping the collaboration functioning and productive.

This course is specifically designed for business development, program management or operations in life sciences, who are interested in continued learning and updating their knowledge and professional skills.

Used to train alliance managers at Lilly, this program will provide access to battle-tested alliance management tools and cutting edge techniques necessary to succeed as a business development professional in the field.

Topics covered during this alliance management course include the start-up, maintenance, and winding down of alliances as well as an understanding of how to get the most value from an alliance. Actual case studies will be used extensively to both demonstrate points and to emphasize hands-on learning. Attendees will also receive a post-session follow-up with the instructors.

The course is a distillation of Lilly’s century of business alliance experience led by two of the most skilled alliance managers in the field – Mike Berglund, CA-AM and Jeff Hurley, CA-AM, both Alliance Management Directors and long-time members of Lilly’s alliance management group.  Mike and Jeff are responsible for several development and commercial alliances and also responsible for the operational infrastructure in Lilly’s Office of Alliance Management.
