Tim Maurice is Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the overall financial operations of UC Davis Health System and its $1.6 billion annual budget.
Maurice oversees strategic financial planning and reporting, budgeting, general accounting, operational and capital financial planning, patient registration, billing and collections, payroll and accounts payable. In addition, all staff members at the health system with responsibilities for these activities report directly to Maurice.
He joined UC Davis in 2011, coming from Ventura County where he was vice president and chief financial officer at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital, members of Dignity Health.
He previously served as chief financial officer at Good Samaritan Community Healthcare in Puyallup, Wash.; Saint Joseph Mercy-Oakland in Oakland County, Mich.; Sutter Gould Medical Foundation and Sutter Tracy Community Hospital; and Doctors Medical Center-Modesto, Doctors Hospital-Manteca.
Maurice received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Washington in 1976, and his M.B.A. from Seattle University in 1988.
